I was googling stuff and came across !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! - I wasn't aware that folks aside from the hired staff are tracked.

If I wasn't stuck on my phone, I would try to find my stats.

AFAIK, that's the total number of readers that your posts bring and the number of them who aren't regular readers.

Well that was certainly an interesting rabbit hole...
TIL I got FP'd for my first and only time (thanks Kat!), back in mid December and for some reason had no idea. Probably because it was in the middle of the night and the post only got four stars and some friendly discussion by other Oppo's. It's linked on a bunch of weird RSS archives on Hyundai forums and shit, which explains the page views.
I don't even know how to react.

How'd you figure out where they're linked?

Well I had to go back through my personal blog to the date of the spike and find which post it was, then I just did a google search .

It won’t let me both order the list alphabetically and choose global accounts. It keeps jumping back to US. So I could be there I guess.

That makes sense. If someone makes a particularly delightful comment I will check their profile - this was prior to the latest iteration of kinja so mostly it was for naught but since I never set mine to show posts only I figured others out there would be similar which, no, but whatever - anyway, the point is it’s not just commenters who’ve been mainpaged, it’s showing numbers from uniques that your kinja blog is bringing in. I think. That’s what it looks like to me.
Supposedly each kinja user has the ability to make their own deals regarding advertisements on their own blogs, so it’s not like Gawker Media is mining commenters for $$ behind our backs. Unless the numbers are support for some big advertising deal in the grand scheme, which is highly doubtful. But who knows what will happen in the future.

It’s the top 1000 in global uniques for the 30-day period. The lowest number uniques listed today is 1581, so if you’re not listed, you have fewer than that many uniques. The easiest way to look for oneself is to order the names alphabetically, then skip to the page where you would fall.
Also, I’ll add as an FYI that the important part of the URL is number at the end. You can substitute any of Gawker Media domain for the one listed and/or change any of the words behind the slash or eliminate them altogether and it will still load the post. That’s how you get credit for a post that you may have published on OppositeLock.
For example, here’s this post mapped to Gawker and here it is credited to Ballaban . No matter which you click, it’ll resolve to OppositeLock.

I offered a little explanation about the list in another comment , but I did want to reply directly to yours that without a separate agreement directly between a blogger and Gawker Media, such as likely exists with Ratter, no one can put display ads on any Kinja, personal or community.
The exceptions are that someone could get paid to write the post — right now that’s mostly limited to search engine optimization (which Gawker frowns upon) and paid bloggers for companies or interest groups — and one can put an affiliate code in a link. If a link leads to a merchant with whom Gawker’s contractor has a relationship, if the link does not include an affiliate code, the system inserts one for Gawker. The most prevalent example is Amazon. All links throughout Kinja to Amazon are rewritten to include a Gawker affiliate code, if the person who posted the link had not used their own. This is true no matter if the link is in a post or a comment.
